The object for a player is to make two poker hands out of the 7-card hand he/she is dealt by the dealer: a 5-card hand (also know as “hand behind”, “bottom hand”, “big hand” or “high hand”), and a 2-card poker hand (also know as “hand in front”, “hand on top”, or “small hand”, “minor hand” or “low hand”. The 5-card hands value must exceed the 2-card hands. Each player attempts to defeat the banker who may be a casino dealer or one of the other players on the table.
