Tournament lobbies now open in a separate window, full screen mode has been optimized for smoother play, and improvements have been made to the software's performance on smaller computers and netbooks.

The most significant aspect of the update for affiliates is clearly that Mac users are now potential customers. Numerous studies have shown that Apple’s market share in the U.S. has grown to over 10% in 2010, and will continue to grow rapidly going forward, meaning there has never been a better time to be Mac-friendly.

Remember too that no Mac user currently has a Carbon account, so this huge new market is absolutely unsaturated. Getting in early with a review of the Mac client and a specific post or two about this exciting news is a great idea – not to mention a quick way to hit your holiday bonus!

The 5.0 update to the client will be available December 1st, though players will have time to update from the 4.7 edition of the software at their convenience as it will not be made a mandatory update right away.
